Dolls4Alzheimer's Mission is to provide lifelike dolls to
                             women with Alzheimer's Disease

It became clear to me, as the former owner of a doll shop, that these women treasured little ones.  Before long, I found myself giving dolls away to these women.  Of course, a store cannot stay in business and give away dolls.  I began to get "thank you" letters from the families of these women telling me how they had observed a mellowing and contentment in the person who was given the doll.  As a doll lover myself, it has become my passion to donate my time and energy to providing as many women as possible with their own "baby".  The response has been really positive and the requests have been more than one person can handle.  The result has been the formation of Dolls4Alzheimers.

The pictures of dad and his baby are so cute, thank you for putting them there for us.  The note I would like to put is.. Dolls 4 Alzheimer's is the best thing anyone could ever do for these people.  My dad had the biggest smile on his face when he looked into his new baby boys eyes.
I would have never of thought this would have made my Dad feel like this,   Dad tickled his belly and under his chin then picked the baby up and held him.  Wow that just broke my heart, I still have not gotten over it. Thank you for letting me see My DAD smile and just feel so good inside even if it was for a min.or 2.  Vicki

I got the most beautiful surprise in the mail and my  Mother thinks she is so pretty.  We haven't named her         yet, my Mother calls her sweetheart.  I  know that so many nurses and staff and patients totally fell in love
with her and I have one lady that wanted to know how
she could get one.  She told me she had little money and I told her that I had given the brochures and cards to the      activity director and to let her know what she wanted.
.
My mother's 94th birthday is coming up July. Kim spent time with me and discussed which doll I might want. I chose a real sweetie and couldn't wait for Mom's birthday to give it to her. Even though my Mom is not an Alzheimer's patient, I was so amazed at her reaction to the baby. She had the MOST sweet smile on her face I have ever seen. For the rest of my life, I will see that smile when I think of her. For people who think these dolls might be only for Alzheimer's patients, I would like to suggest that it is not. Consider giving a doll to an older parent or friend who might just need someone special in their life and something to make them smile. Thanks again for your wonderful work. Carol
When I saw these beautiful barettes I couldn't resist asking Boni if she would be willing to donate some.  Thank you so much Boni.  I have already used several and they add to their sweet look.  I hope you will go to her site and see what she does and order some for yourself.  They are lovely.  GO TO SILLY BEAR LIGHTS.
I received the doll today. She was absolutely beautiful and everyone in the office just loved it. I was able to take the doll to the patient and she just fell in love with her. She held her tight, rubbed her face, wrapped her in her blanket and named her Leigh. I appreciate your hard work and will definately use you again if I need another one. I will also recommend you to others.
Thanks,

                 THIS IS MY MOM
I have Alzheimer's in my family history.  I am 80 years young and have no signs of this disease.
My daughter is the Executive Director of Dolls4Alzheimers   She gave me this precious baby
which I love dearly.  She does great things for those afflicted with this disease.Betty Valliant, Bradford, Vermont
I was in the church kitchen and thoughtlessly picked up a small piece of paper like a business card to that was left lying around.  My intent was to throw the scrap away since it appeared to be just clutter.  Turning it over was the picture of my mother holding “Danny”- the doll you gave her.  It was a joy to see Mom again.  In fact, I have placed the card on my desk for frequent reminders of my mother and of the woman who cared enough to help make her life a little easier through the simple thought of giving her a realistic doll that reminded her of the son she lost over 80 years ago.    Thanks, Pastor Syd

Hi Jacque, Our residents LOVE baby Clare. She arrived a couple of days ago and our ladies have been thinking of nothing else since! In fact, so many are interested in caring for her that we find ourselves needing another! I just submitted an order for Boy #8 because we would like a little brother for Clare. Thank you so much for your wonderful product! Our family members and visitors have been been amazed by our residents' love for Clare!

I just this a.m. received a doll for my Clare Bridge community in Troy,
Michigan. It has long been recommended that we purchase these for use by
our memory care residents.
I just wanted to share that the doll is lovely and one resident in
particular was so moved by her. She does not speak, but she laughed and
she cried and has enjoyed her all morning. It was truly wonderful to
see. I wish I could share a photo, but do not feel entirely comfortable
doing so, as I want to be respectful of her privacy.
With sincere appreciation,

Gramma is holding "Gloria" there... although, I am Gloria here present day, far from that grand baby she holds. She adores this little bundle, she combs her hair, gives her little kisses, and makes sure she is warm. To hear her croon to her gives my heart a bit of melting as I know that surely is how she crooned and cared for me once upon a time ago... Precious.

I visited Mama again yesterday and we had a great time
together with Emma, the doll you made for her. This is Mama's background
- she remains very loving and happy. She smiles a lot and is responsive to others' kindnesses. Yet she has lost her ability to communicate. When she held Emma, she immediately demonstrated a mother's love and touch, she "talked" to her and "sang" to her for a long time. We could not understand what Mama was saying, but we know that she was expressing love and happiness. You could see it on her face.
This little angel has provided a very special comfort to someone who cannot make her thoughts clear to others. Emma is a great listener, and Mama has someone to take care of and talk to. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. God bless you and your special mission.
Love, Judy
