I am the owner/artist of Flitterbyes Reborn Nursery in Richland Washington. I have loved dolls ever since I was little. I found my first reborn doll over 3 years ago and I was hooked and just had to make dolls! Ever since I received my first reborn I have felt called to do this. My thoughts were of all the seniors in different homes/centers etc. and how much they would enjoy sitting and holding and looking into the face of these precious dolls. I love to sit and hold mine. It does bring about some comfort. I have been reborning dolls since 2006. When I found Dolls4alzheimer's I didn't hesitate to log onto the website and that same day I asked if I could be a part of this and start something for our community and for others as well.
I have had two doll kits donated to me to make dolls for the different nursing homes/Alzheimer's units here and I'm so glad that there is an organization already set up to help support me. I want to be affiliated with this cause so that others can feel secure in their donations and know that I am not taking a profit of any kind for my services as an artist. All cash donations will be used for supplies and doll kits etc. I glady take supplies as well if that's what you'd prefer. I have included a picture of my dad, Jess Oster holding my Son John. I want this to reflect his memory and show everyone how happy he was during a very lost and lonely time for him and how much joy my son brought to him. Good Afternoon Yvonne,
Thank you so very much for the dolls. They are beautiful. I have already purchased a couple outfits for the little girl for when I need to change her clothes. I love the two dolls. Once I take them to Crista Nursing Center I will get some picture of them with some patients and email them to you. You are welcome to use the picture of my mother with her baby.
