DOLLS 4 ALZHEIMER'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE
LIFELIKE DOLLS TO WOMEN WITH ALZHEIMER'S.
IT BECAME CLEAR TO ME  AS THE OWNER OF A DOLL SHOP THAT THESE WOMEN  TREASURED THESE LITTLE ONES.  BEFORE LONG I FOUND MYSELF GIVING THE WOMEN THE BABIES  THEY WERE HOLDING.  OF COURSE A STORE CAN NOT STAY IN BUSINESS AND GIVE AWAY THE DOLLS.  I BEGAN TO GET THANKYOU LETTERS FROM THE FAMILIES OF THESE WOMEN.  THEY ALL OBSERVED  A MELLOWING AND CONTENTMENT IN THE PERSON WHO WAS GIVEN THE DOLL.  AS A DOLL LOVER MYSELF IT BECAME MY PASSION TO DONATE MY TIME AND ENERGY TO PROVIDE AS MANY WOMEN AS POSSIBLE WITH THEIR  OWN "BABY"  THE  RESPONSE HAS BEEN REALLY POSITIVE AND THE REQUESTS HAVE BEEN MORE THAN ONE PERSON CAN HANDLE.  THE RESULT IS THE FORMATION OF DOLLS4ALZHEIMERS.

DARLENE LIVES IN CALIF., SHE IS BEDRIDDEN AND CAN NOT SPEAK BUT HER WONDERFUL SMILE TELLS HER STORY.
The pictures of dad and his baby are so cute, thank you for putting them there for us.  The note I would like to put is.. Dolls 4 Alzheimer's is the best thing anyone could ever do for these people.  My dad had the biggest smile on his face when he looked into his new baby boys eyes.
I would have never of thought this would have made my Dad feel like this,   Dad tickled his belly and under his chin then picked the baby up and held him.  Wow that just broke my heart, I still have not gotten over it. Thank you for letting me see My DAD smile and just feel so good inside even if it was for a min.or 2.  Vicki

SADIE LOVES THE BABY
STELLA JONES

I got the most beautiful surprise in the mail and my Mother thinks she is so pretty.  We haven't named her yet, my Mother calls her sweetheart.  I know that so many nurses and staff and patients totally fell in love with her and I have one lady that wanted to know how she could get one.  She told me she had little money and I told her that I had given the brochures and cards to the activity director and to let her know what she wanted.

          KIM'S MOM
I met Kim Sonder at Michael's while searching for yarn.  She helped me and I told her it was for making hats for our babies.  The next morning she called and joined the team.  So Kim has learned to paint the dolls and get them ready to ship to you.  Now we can get twice as many finished.  Thank you Kim
HUGGING BABY
MARIE LINDAHL
My mother's 94th birthday is coming up July. Kim spent time with me and discussed which doll I might want. I chose a real sweetie and couldn't wait for Mom's birthday to give it to her. Even though my Mom is not an Alzheimer's patient, I was so amazed at her reaction to the baby. She had the MOST sweet smile on her face I have ever seen. For the rest of my life, I will see that smile when I think of her. For people who think these dolls might be only for Alzheimer's patients, I would like to suggest that it is not. Consider giving a doll to an older parent or friend who might just need someone special in their life and something to make them smile. Thanks again for your wonderful work. Carol
